Time : 10:00:00 AMDescription: Rather than our usual start at a subway station, today we will start at the Shops at Don Mills. We will walk through the lovely forested ravines of Don Mills, alongside Deer Lick Creek where there was a discovery of ancient artifacts. We will pass through Charles Sauroil Conservation Area and walk alongside the East Branch of the Don River and under the Rainbow, ending our walk where we started. Meet at about 10:00 AM at Samson Mews – Shops at Don Mills (between Chick Fil-A & PI CO restaurants, facing Don Mills Rd), southwest of Lawrence Ave E and Don Mills Rd. There are washrooms in Samson Mews. The walk will begin at 10:10 sharp. Directions to Shops at Don Mills via TTC: When this entry was last updated there were no scheduled subway outages for this date, but please check https://www.ttc.ca/service-advisories/subway-service#e=0 in case there are any changes. Points of interest along the way include: The RwGPS route is https://ridewithgps.com/routes/57604559. We have introduced a 30-Day-Trial membership class which allows "guests" to participate in most activities over the span of a 1-month period. We are accepting Guest registrations. If you have not registered for the walk, you may NOT join the walk. If you have registered but can't attend, log in, click on "Already registered", then cancel. Please check the website 2 hours before the start time, in the unlikely event that the walk is rescheduled or cancelled. If the walk is cancelled due to weather or other reasons, notice of the cancellation will be posted on the website around 8 am on the day of the walk. For a brief description of the City walk program, please check the TBN website under PROGRAMS - FALL/WINTER - CITY WALKS (https://tbn.ca/programs/fallwinter/citywalks).
