City Walk - Toronto Fire Stations, Part 2

    Time: 10:00:00 AM

    Description:

At about 10:00 AM, meet at a location to be determined. The walk will begin at 10:10 sharp.

Andrew will be taking us to visit sseveral of Toronto Fire Service's original and historic Fire Stations. We will be walking about 10 Km and will end up at a subway station.

There will be a washroom stop or two along the way. There are also washrooms in each fire station, although these are single person washrooms and we will not have time for everyone to use them at any one station.

We will also have a coffee stop somewhere around the middle of the walk. At the end of the walk we can go to a nearby restaurant for lunch.

The route will be entirely on sidewalks, so please wear shoes or boots appropriate for the weather.

The last time this entry was updated there were no scheduled subway outages, but please check https://www.ttc.ca/service-advisories/subway-service#e=0 in case there are any changes.

Points of interest and early exits along the way include:

    • 0.0 Km – (start of walk)
    • Approx. 10.0 Km – (end of walk, access to subway)

The route will be available on Ride with GPS.

We have introduced a 30-Day-Trial membership class which allows "guests" to participate in most activities over the span of a 1-month period, for a fee of $15. We are accepting Guest registrations.

If you have not registered for the walk, you may NOT join the walk.

If you have registered but can't attend, log in, click on "Already registered", then cancel.

If you have trouble finding us at the start, please call my cell at 416-917-8866. If I don't answer, try again, as I may miss the first call.

Please check the website 2 hours before the start time, in the unlikely event that the walk is rescheduled or cancelled. If the walk is cancelled due to weather or other reasons, notice of the cancellation will be posted on the website around 8 am on the day of the walk.
