    Leisure Wheeler Special on a SATURDAY- From Bradford to Aurora- a one-way ride using the GO Train -Bring Lunch

    Description:

    Remember: Have your tires fully inflated, wear your helmet and bring a spare inner tube for YOUR bike.

    This is an advanced Leisure Wheeler Ride starting in Bradford and ending in Aurora.  The ride starts at Bradford GO station with a loop through the Holland Marsh, and then continues through Holland Landing to the start of the Nokiidaa Trail at Mt. Albert Rd. and Yonge St.  The route follows the Nokiidaa Trail to Newmarket, where there will be a lunch stop, and then continues to Aurora, ending at the GO station.  Bring a bag to carry fresh veggies from one of the farm stands. Bring snacks to enjoy at 20 km. and picnic lunch in Newmarket at 41 km.

    Start: 10:15 AM.  Bradford GO Station. (Washrooms available) Meet in the parking lot.

    How to get to the START:  GO Train  leaves Union 8:52, Downsview 9:11, Aurora 9:42. Arrives Bradford 10:05

    From Union Station- 8:52 GO Train to arrive in Bradford at 10:05

    OR TTC to Downsview, then 9:11 GO Train to arrive in Bradford at 10:05

    OR -Drive to Aurora. Then take the 9:42 GO Train from Aurora (joining the others on the train) to arrive in Bradford at 10:05  At Aurora, there is parking on the east side of the station. Wait for the train near the accessibility platform NOT near the station. 

    The ride ends in Aurora where you will then reach you car (if you drove).

    The Aurora  GO Train returns to Toronto at 3:55pm, and 4:55 pm

    Weather:  The ride could be cancelled because of the weather (e.g. too cold, too wet, too windy).  If the weather looks doubtful, check the website after 8:00 AM on the day of the ride.

     You MUST be registered for the ride, in order to participate
